How words move

Words keep their order. Not their direction.

Each move draws itself as it scrolls into view. Five ways a word can travel, from the one you know to the ones you don't.

0°

Some words still play it safe and run in a straight line, just like the word searches you already know.

45°

Partway through, the word kicks off at 45° from the direction it started in. PUZZLING runs down, then slides away on the diagonal.

90°

When a word hits the edge of the grid, it bounces off at 90°. CHALLENGE runs into the right-hand wall and turns straight down.

135°

The sharpest turn of all. DIFFERENT hits the bottom of the grid and folds back up on itself at 135°.
